The Economic Development Authority (EDA) is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. As the City’s incentive and investment arm, the EDA works behind the scenes to support local business, attract new development, and strengthen our economy. Whether you’re launching a business, growing an established company, or investing in our community, the EDA is here to help you succeed.
We offer guidance on available incentives, support site development, and connect businesses and institutions to the resources they need to thrive in Lynchburg.
The Economic Development Authority meets monthly on the third Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Office of Economic Development. Any changes to this meeting schedule are posted in City Hall and released to the media. Meetings are open to the public, and you can access available recordings and notes here.
