Office of Economic Development & Tourism Accepts Award for LYH Loves You Brand From the Virginia Economic Developers Association
Lynchburg, VA – The City of Lynchburg Office of Economic Development & Tourism has been awarded the Community Economic Development Award (CEDA) from the Virginia Economic Developers Association (VEDA) recognizing best practices and outstanding initiatives that advance economic viability through economic and community development programs.
VEDA awarded the Office of Economic Development & Tourism for the LYH Loves You Brand campaign. The LYH LOVES YOU brand campaign is a bold message of inclusivity that leverages the state’s iconic messaging and works to instill pride in a city leaning into the future. The concept revolves around telling the stories of the citizens, businesses and organizations of Lynchburg to reach residents, talent, businesses and visitors.
The campaign speaks authentically about Lynchburg through the voices of those living, working, visiting, and attending colleges and universities in the City. The Office of Economic Development & Tourism partners with businesses, colleges and organizations to spread the brand awareness through tactics like digital kiosk signage, events, digital marketing, and advertising.
Arlington County Economic Development and the Town of Wytheville were also awarded CEDA awards from VEDP.
“Congratulations to the communities of Arlington, Wytheville, and the City of Lynchburg for their successful economic development projects and for each being awarded a 2023 Community Economic Development Award,” said Rockbridge County Economic Development Director Brandy Flint, Chair of VEDA’s CEDA committee. “These projects highlight successful partnerships and dedicated leadership while setting the standards for success in economic development.”
