Lynchburg, VA – Some runners are still recovering from this weekend’s Genworth Virginia 10 Miler.
And organizers say Saturday’s race was one for the record books, because 3,200 runners and walkers participated in the 39th annual race.
And more than 700 registered for Friday’s ‘Amazing Mile Children’s Run.’ Race organizers say they hadn’t anticipated such a large turnout.
“We got a big surge in last minute registration the week before our event and during registration Friday before our event. It was unanticipated,” said race director Jeff Fedorko.
The full results of the race are up on the Virginia 10 Miler’s website.
