True IA supports Lynchburg’s Tech Community through Veteran’s training program

The cyber landscape is constantly evolving. New security threats emerge every day. To help organizations reduce risk and protect critical assets, True IA delivers cybersecurity management consulting services. Founded in 2007, True Information Assurance, LLC, serves Federal government entities, such as the Department of Defense and Department of Justice and commercial sector clients.

True IA helps clients analyze and minimize risk, design stable enterprise networks, and build out secure frameworks to protect their clients. The company’s goal is to help enable organizations to keep pace with with rapidly changing technical advancements and ensure proper digital safety precautions are taken. True IA also runs a CyberAcademy to help train IT professionals.

“We felt, as a business, that we could support the training needs of other TechHire partners that wish to leverage the program,” said Nathaniel Wade, vice-president, True IA. “We want to support the IT professional training pipeline needs for other businesses that are experiencing hiring challenges.”

Lynchburg’s TechHire CyberAcademy:

To support the national TechHire Community, True IA has built out an initiative for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Accelerated Learning Program. The True Information Assurance CyberAcademy provides veterans with applied training based on the National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. The self-paced 16-week training program can be accessed online or in a classroom setting in Washington, DC. All of the training materials are digital and downloadable. To be eligible, applicants need to be registered on the Veterans Employment Center

True IA’s CyberAcademy will teach program participants: 

  • Commercial certifications: A+, Network+, Security+ and CISSP
  • Technology Workforce Analysis and Custom Training Program Development
  • CyberAcademy Body of Knowledge Career Progression Training
